MUSIC

Nathan Emerson Repasz is a drummer, singer, and composer. In 2014, he obtained his B.A. in Music from Wesleyan University, in fulfillment of which he presented a recital entitled Some Drums, a collection of algorithmic and heuristic percussion works and wordplay. His performance credits include the premieres of "Window Seat Over The Rockies" by Barry O'Neal, "Rachel Weeps" by Brian Holmes, "Gangsa" by Chris Brown at the 2014 SEAMUS conference, and several choral and percussion pieces by Brian Parks, as well as sessions backing the folktronica duo Overcoats at NPR's Mountain Stage, Daytrotter, and SXSW. After spending the majority of last year thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, he currently drums in several New York bands, sings tenor at Christ's Church, Rye, NY, and works for the ARTEK early music ensemble and the S.E.M. Ensemble, a new/experimental music group, both located in New York City.
